Wednesday 23rd September saw the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce hold a tech event for local businesses. Hosted by the charming Huw Sayer, the morning event focused on technology and its growing importance in business. Speakers from different sectors talked about tech – including our own Matthew Wells! – and there was an opportunity to ask questions at the end of each section. There were some big names there including Microsoft and Amazon and to finish the morning talks Emma Swift took us through the results of the tech survey in Norwich as part of Tech City UK (you can read the report here).
There was also the opportunity to take part in a choice of workshops, of which I found the Digital Marketing Strategy session most useful. The links to websites designed to make creating content easier and more professional looking will certainly come in handy!
As with every event I’ve attended at The Space the food was lovely, even if I did spill a jug of milk all over myself (at least I was wearing a white shirt) and the only criticism I could make is that the event did feel a little hurried, or at least very time constricted! We made a lot of useful contacts and would definitely go again.
