Naked Element are thrilled to be in the EDP’s Future50!

Future50 is a collection of Norfolk and Suffolk’s most innovative and ambitious companies. The aim of the programme, which has been running since 2009, is to find the region’s ‘ones to watch’ and support their growth through networking events, multimedia business coverage, support to access funding and business support from the EDP’s partners and their network. The programme is delivered by Archant, with partners Barclays, Birketts, Lovewell Blake, Nwes and UEA adding ongoing support throughout. To become a Future 50 member means you’re not only one of the fastest growing individuals or companies in the region, but also have the drive and ambition needed to be leaders in your sector.

The Future50 class of 2018 was announced last night at a special networking event hosted by Tom Vince, Archant’s Group Video and Images Manager, at the UEA Enterprise Centre. For those not familiar with the Enterprise Centre, it has not only been crowned the greenest building in the UK, but is also an iconic and visually stunning environment for SMEs and the wider business sector and community. The centre hosts everything from seminars and conferences to exhibitions, as well as housing plenty of co-working desks and office suites for hire. It’s a truly inspirational space which can offer something for everyone.

During the event, as well as announcing this year’s members and hearing from Tom Vince himself, we were treated to inspiring talks from several guest speakers. Professor Fiona Lettice who lectures in Innovation Management at the UEA spoke on innovation and working with the UEA on research projects. Chris Billing, Managing Director of SNAP Account and already a Future50 member himself, told us how his perseverance was the key to his success. Mark Sait, CEO of SaveMoneyCutCarbon talked about how people should run the processes and systems for growth and scalability and not the business itself. And finally Joseph Cooksey of Barclays Business Digitalisation sector gave us a thought provoking look into how digital enables growth, increases visibility and your connections.

As you can imagine, we are over the moon to have been listed alongside so many of the region’s most original and progressive businesses and extremely excited to see what 2018 has in store. As Naked Element CEO, Paul Grenyer says “it was clear from tonight that many other businesses have been where we are where we’re going, and we’re looking forward to learning from their experiences.”
